After Thanksgiving, we went to an auto show with Uncle Rob. Tommy had fun watching the bright lights and looking at the shiny cars, and we even let him crawl around a little. Of course, the conference center had no changing tables in the bathroom, so we wound up having to change his diaper in the middle of a crowd, and Tommy, for the first time, looked embarassed.
Then, at home, he got to experience Christmas decorating. He loved the tree, ornaments, and lights, but he got the biggest kick out of two mechanical Winnie the Pooh dolls that shook their heads and made noises. Tommy spent many long moments staring them down, examining them, and trying to figure them out.
He also got to see Santa at the mall. The official mall camera was broken, but they let us take a few pictures of our own from the sidelines. As for Tommy, he didn't know what to make of it.
A few days later, a motor parade came through our neighborhood. Tommy watched it with his cousins, Uncle Adam, Aunt Amy, me, and his grandparents.
We had an early Christmas in Orlando, because the three of us were going to South Carolina to spend the holiday with Amelia's family. Tommy got a kick out of playing with the wrapping paper and his new toys. He just didn't understand why he couldn't play with everybody else's stuff too!
